WEBSITE DEVELOPMENET TQM.BE AND SEO? GEA
I cannot recommend this freelancer for a professional website project.
The assignment was to complete a professional business website. Unfortunately, the website was still not finished after repeated reviews, written feedback and meetings. Many basic points remained unresolved even after the freelancer said the work was completed.
1.Technical quality
The website still contained clear technical and layout problems:
*poor mobile responsiveness;
*oversized fonts on mobile;
*excessive empty space on several pages;
*menu and page-content interference;
*unclear navigation structure;
*inconsistent logo use and branding;
*product visuals that were too small, too large or not readable;
*incomplete or poorly structured footer;
*unclear placement of product specifications and integration tools;
*inconsistent structure across industry pages;
*missing or incorrectly replaced webinar registration page;
*sections that looked like template leftovers rather than a professionally reviewed website.
Several of these points were reported more than once but were still visible afterwards.
2.Design and creativity
The freelancer provided very limited creative input. The result often looked like a template adaptation rather than a carefully designed business website.
There was little attention to detail. Several sections were visually inconsistent. Important pages were not structured logically. The website did not look professionally checked before being presented as completed.
3.Communication
Communication was difficult throughout the project.
*Messages and review documents were not read carefully.
*I had to repeat the same corrections several times.
*Points discussed verbally during meetings were still not implemented correctly.
*I received messages that related to other clients, which created further confusion.
*Questions were not always answered directly.
*When problems remained, the replies often focused on explanations rather than solving the issues.
4.Organisation and project management
The project management was poor.
*There was no clear professional review of the completed work before delivery.
*Progress was difficult to follow.
*Several meetings were needed because written instructions were not followed properly.
*A planned meeting to discuss progress was missed without prior notice.
*The website was presented as completed while important issues were still visible.
*After I raised the remaining problems, I did not receive a proper solution.
5.Contract and billing concerns
The project was initially discussed as a defined website assignment with an agreed total budget. After the decision was made, I was asked to move to an hourly contract.
The agreed budget was then charged quickly, while the website was still incomplete. When I asked for the remaining work to be finished, the freelancer referred to extra work and additional paid arrangements, although several outstanding points were corrections of issues already reported earlier.
This was not acceptable.
6.Customer experience
The overall experience was frustrating and time-consuming. I had to spend many hours reviewing the website, documenting issues and repeating the same corrections.
A client hiring a website developer should not need to carry out repeated quality-control checks for basic design, mobile, navigation and layout problems.
Based on my experience, I would not hire this freelancer again for a professional website project.

Lead SEO Strategist & Execution Manager – Luxury Hotel Platform (Contract)
Chahat tried to do a good job but his work was hit and misses. We found communication quite frustrating where tasks fell at the waistside. Most importantly we saw no marked improvements to SEO organic traffic despite many thousands of dollars spent.
