Help a Reporter Out (HARO) is a platform that connects journalists with industry experts (sources). Here, journalists are given a chance to publish requests then sources (me in this case) provide commentary/insights depending on the requirements.
If the journalist chooses to use your commentary, they credit you by citing your website (they may provide a do-follow, no-follow link, or simply mention you. As a source, you don't have much control over their choice).
If they credit you by giving a do-follow backlink then we count that as a successful placement. A no-follow link could also be counted depending on the source.
Before we get started, I'll need an email address that I will use to sign up for HARO and access it daily. HARO sends out queries three times a day at 5:35 a.m., 12:35 p.m., and 5:35 p.m., Eastern time. I will also need a headshot and your website's URL. Social handles might also be required.
