I initially hired Hamda for a 30-minute animation project with a clear budget agreement of $250. While Hamda delivered quality work during the early stages, the situation took a turn when she unexpectedly requested a significant price increase after delivering the initial test video. Despite our initial agreement and my flexibility on rates, she insisted on charging much more for the full project, which deviated from our agreed-upon budget.
This behavior led to a breakdown of trust and an inability to proceed with the project. I attempted to discuss and resolve the issue with Hamda directly, but it became clear that her new pricing demands were unreasonable. As a result, I had to escalate the matter to Upwork for dispute resolution.
While the freelancer's work was of good quality, I would caution others about her lack of commitment to agreed terms and her sudden price changes that may not align with initial discussions. This experience was disappointing, especially after she had accepted the original budget and then requested additional funds without prior agreement.
