Project details

AI can generate images and clips. The harder part is making them feel intentionally directed and work together as a film.

I’m an award-winning cinematographer and creative technologist with more than 19 years of experience across commercials, branded content and specialist cinematography.

I use generative AI with the same filmmaking principles I use behind a camera: lensing, lighting, composition, movement, continuity, timing and visual storytelling.

I can help develop a brief, script or storyboard into cinematic AI previsualisation, commercial concept films, product visualisation, pitch films or finished AI-generated sequences.

For previs projects, the goal is to see and refine the idea before committing to production. For finished AI films, I develop the visual language, generate and refine the shots, manage continuity, edit the sequence and complete the final piece.

Where appropriate, I can also advise what should be created with AI and what would be better filmed practically.

This service is designed for agencies, brands, directors and production teams developing commercial-quality visual work, rather than high-volume AI social content.

Cinematographer | High-Speed Film | AI Video | Creative Consultant
Singapore, Singapore - 3:16 am local time
I'm an award-winning cinematographer, creative technologist and founder of T-Eight, with more than 19 years of experience across commercials, branded content, documentaries, corporate films and specialist high-speed cinematography.

My speciality is creating images that are difficult to capture, difficult to explain, or simply impossible to see with the human eye.

I work with brands, agencies, production companies, manufacturers and creative teams across Asia on:

• High-speed and super slow-motion cinematography
• Phantom Flex 4K filming up to 1000fps at 4K
• Commercial and product cinematography
• Food, liquid and tabletop filming
• Manufacturing, engineering and material testing
• Sports and performance cinematography
• AI-generated video development
• AI video prompting and visual development
• Creative consulting
• Previsualisation and concept development
• Shot design and technical planning
• Live-action + AI hybrid productions
• Editing and post-production in Adobe Premiere Pro

Creative meets technical

One of the things I bring to a production is the ability to bridge the creative idea with what is technically possible.

This is particularly important in high-speed cinematography.

Frame rate, shutter, lighting, flicker, lenses, action timing, triggering and playback all affect the final image. I can work with directors, agencies and production teams before the shoot to determine how an idea can actually be achieved, helping reduce experimentation and lost production time on set.

The same thinking now extends into AI filmmaking and previsualisation.

I can help develop an idea before production, explore visual directions, create AI-generated concepts and previs sequences, design shots, test camera movement and work out what should be created practically, what should be filmed, and what can be generated using AI.

I don't see AI as a replacement for cinematography. I use it as another filmmaking tool.

For some projects, the right solution is live action.

For others, it's AI.

And increasingly, it's a combination of both.

Selected recognition

• Best Cinematography, Panasonic Digital Film Fiesta 2010 – “Checkmate”
• Bronze World Medal for Cinematography, New York Festivals 2009 – “Why Icarus Cannot Fly”
• World Promax BDA Bronze + Asia Promax BDA Silver, Best Comedy Campaign 2008 – “Calefare” Promo Trailers, Channel 5

I've spent my career looking for different ways to approach an image through lighting, movement, lenses, colour, timing and technology.

If you have a commercial, product, technical or visual idea and you're trying to work out how to bring it to life, I'm happy to look at the brief and tell you how I would approach it.

**I work primarily on specialist and professional productions rather than low-budget volume work.**

**High-speed and production engagements typically start from US$5,000. Creative consulting, AI video development and previsualisation projects can be scoped separately.**
