Project details

Project- Chemical Manufacturing

This project was related to migrate existing on-premise application to Microsoft Azure (IaaS and PaaS mode).
Existing Applications were combination of asp and oracle, asp and MS access and SQL server 20005/08.
I converted those DB to SQL server 2014 and for MS access/ oracle databases convert schema to SQL server 2014.
For data migration I created SSIS jobs and deployed those jobs on cloud server.

Responsibilities-
Understand business requirement
Developed SSIS packages for data migration
Performed DBA activities for deploying SQL Jobs
Backup and restore the database on cloud environment

Modernized a legacy stack comprising Oracle, MS Access, and SQL Server 2005 for a major US chemical company — including schema conversion via SSMA, SSIS-based data transfer, TDE encryption, and replication setup. Reduced pipeline runtimes and resolved slow-running queries through parallel loading, partitioning, and targeted indexing.
