Report Developer for Manufacturing Data Project - Apache Superset?
I had a great experience with Pranshu. Firs off, he's pretty much always available. For a US based client that is great, since that's one of the biggest issues with Indian developers.
He's great at communication even when mine was lacking. He had some network issues but that's to be expected for Indian devs.
For the hourly rate that Pranshu asks you are getting great value for your money. He knows Apache Superset pretty well. My project was a bit tricky because we moved database servers and I was trying to figure out how to host Superset for cheap. This caused a couple of issues, but that was really my fault.
Pranshu is great at general chart and dashboard development. There are a couple more advanced features of Superset that I had to figure out for myself and let him know about. I would say some of the best practices I've learned in BI development were a little lacking with Pranshu's work, but that's something I'd expect from a Senior BI developer, not a developer charging $10/hr.
I also suggested to him to learn a bit more about the client's industry so you can make personalized suggestions.
So overall, are there things that can be improved, yes, but did we get the job done for a very minimal amount of money, 100% YES. As a senior developer with experience with data warehouses and BI tools, I was able to help Pranshu out and together we got the dashboards created for a very reasonable rate.
