    I have recently transitioned from writing and editing to spiritual life coaching. My approach to coaching is centered around spirituality, though I have a Master of Science in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Adult Education and Training. My deep understanding of human psychology informs my understanding of human emotion, experience, learning, and behavior, but I find that science can be lacking as it attempts to fit each of us in tidy little boxes with neat diagnoses and prescriptions for how each of might be "fixed" (or definitive reasons why we cannot be). My belief is that each of us has within us the teacher that we most need. Call it intuition, God, higher self, or various other concepts or variations that are equally valid and useful. I don't believe that anyone can give the answer to another person. For my part, I cannot "fix" anyone or tell you what you "should" do. What I can do is see you with great empathy and compassion, understand where you are coming from and, to some degree, who you are and what you are going through. I can't solve your problems or provide paths to solution, but I can help you to develop a greater understanding of yourself and help you to find your own inner wisdom. This inner wisdom exists within all of us and it is only through that wisdom that we find healing, meaning, purpose, and freedom. Personally, I have overcome Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) that lasted 16 years and was quite severe. Through that process, I have also overcome struggles with abuse, addiction, sexuality, suicidal ideation, grief, and despair. I have become a pillar of strength and wisdom for the people closest to me. I have served as a leader in my community and in my relationships. My path to healing was found through connection with myself and my own inner wisdom, and it is my hope that I might bring hope and healing to others who may be struggling with grief, depression, emptiness, mental illness, sexuality, despair, or hopelessness.
