Project details

You will get a file that converts your main metadata into as many different upload formats as you like. Whether that be from Source Audio to Harvest Media, from Harvest Media to proTunes, or any other aggregator. I will work with you to make sure you are happy with the output(s) the file provides. Once you are happy with the file, it is yours to keep and use as many times as you like.

To use the file, you paste in your original data, click a button to validate the Composer and Publisher splits (to check they add up to 100% each - we can build in other checks at an extra cost), then click another button to create your outputs, which would magically appear, ready to be saved. That's it. As easy as that. You can then upload the output files to the relevant platform(s).

If you wanted to add more outputs as you went along, that would be absolutely fine. Fearless Spreadsheets already offers ongoing ad hoc Excel support to several music libraries, so I'd always be available should you ever need anything in the future.

Royalty Reporting & Music Metadata Automation in Excel
Poole, United Kingdom - 8:44 am local time
If your royalty tracking is manual, your metadata exports are painful, or your reporting breaks every time new statements arrive — I build systems that solve that. I can even run the process for you entirely.

I work with music publishers, rights holders, and music businesses to design Excel-based infrastructure for royalty tracking and metadata transformation.

This isn’t generic Excel support.
It’s structured data systems built specifically for music workflows.

What I Help With

Royalty Tracking Systems
• MCPS monthly payment summaries
• Multi-source royalty consolidation
• Statement reconciliation
• Per-work & per-writer dashboards
• Automated summary reporting

Metadata Conversion & Formatting
• Harvest Media
• Source Audio
• Disco
• proTunes
• Cadenza
• WCPM
• UPMG
• Netmix
• Paramount
• Custom delivery formats

I build mapping logic and structured transformation layers so metadata can be converted cleanly and repeatedly — without manual editing.

Typical Problems I Solve

• Reformatting large catalogs for different platforms
• Consolidating royalty statements from multiple sources
• Eliminating repetitive monthly reporting work
• Fixing fragile spreadsheets built without structure
• Creating scalable metadata conversion templates

Background

Chartered Management Accountant with 10+ years in financial reporting and data systems.

I combine financial accuracy with clean spreadsheet architecture — essential for royalty and rights management work.

If you need a royalty or metadata system built properly, I’m happy to review your current setup and suggest improvements.

Steps for completing your project

After purchasing the project, send requirements so John can start the project.

Delivery time starts when John receives requirements from you.

John works on your project following the steps below.

Revisions may occur after the delivery date.

Example data

Sending through an example of your original data will help me see what I'm dealing with, then I can be better informed before our initial call. If you also have an example of the output format you want, that will really help. If not, no worries.

Initial call

It can help to have a call, just to make sure we're both on the same page and that you'll be happy with the product. Plus, everybody seems to have their data in slightly different formats, so it's good to talk through the finer points in more detail.

Review the work, release payment, and leave feedback to John.
