I have six years of experience working in the service and retail industries, which as allowed me to develop strong communication, customer service and organizational skills. I leveraged these experiences into a career in program coordination and assistance preceded by several internships and a receptionist/ administrative assistant job.
My most recent job was with the State of Hawai'i Division of Forestry and Wildlife, where I worked as a conservation field technician and outreach specialist. I was employed there for five years, with a steady increase of responsibility. I assisted with the planning and implementation of various projects, managed data collection, entry and analysis, developed and coordinated volunteer opportunities, created social media and educational content, kept track of inventory, and monitored a professional phone number and email to respond to requests from community volunteers and partner organizations.
This experience shows that I have the experience function as an efficient assistant. I thrive at taking extraneous tasks off of others' hands.
