I have experience of handling near about 80 trucks for a year. While working for the company I came across with the entire process and tools used by the trucking companies where as my duties were to:
1. Post/find and book loads using Sylectus, Truckstop, Load Link, Direct Freight and DAT Load Board.
2. Add load in our Company’s ITS Dispatch/ CRM/ TMS.
3. Send full load information to the drivers and to route them for pickup and ensure timely pick up and deliveries.
4. Help drivers to load at the shippers and to tackle their shipping issues.
5. Constantly updating brokers while loading and unloading then to send paperwork/BOL/POD.
6. Continuously tracking for the correct route and if load is on time or late.
7. Assist/find road side services if truck broke down.
8. Send money through EFS, or Comcheck for Lumper, Pallet Fee, Washing, and fixing charges.
9. Update brokers with issues faced by the driver and also updating locations.
10. Take actions immediately if the load is late and to change appointments.
11. Keep track of temperature as per product and customer’s requirement.
12. Help drivers to unload and to tackle their unloading issues.
13. Update/report broker about over, short and damage cases till disposing.
14. Get detention and layovers from the broker as driver is waiting for long at pickup and drop.
15. Get TONU from the broker.
16. Keep tracking of driver’s details such as their hours and also their documents for renewal.
17. Get phones calls and answer all of the customer’s questions, concerns and complaints in a professional manner.
