Responsibility(include but not limited to…):
• Obtain quotes comparing costs from various vendors
• Source new suppliers for buyers to review
• Organize buying trips in conjunction with the buyer
• Review & approve all product samples & packaging prior to on forwarding to the buying office with recommendation
• Assist buyer with price negotiations
• Assist buyer in selecting products
• Regularly follow up with manufacturers to ensure production is on track
• Monitor and manage supplier performance, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise
• Monitor production, conduct multilevel inspections, and perform pre-shipment factory inspections
Work Experience: as a senior merchandiser I have had the opportunity to work with well-known companies/brands in the apparel and home industry, such as ROSS, Burlington, AT HOME, Dollar General, Absorba, Catimini, and more.
