Project details

Applying to U.S. universities as an international student often requires more than essays and application forms. Families may also need to prepare financial documents, complete the CSS Profile, submit university-specific financial aid forms, provide certification of finances, gather bank statements or income documents, and understand different deadlines for admissions, scholarships, and aid.

With 12 years of experience guiding international students through U.S. university applications, I help families understand what financial forms are required, what documents to gather, how to organize deadlines, and how to complete application-related financial forms more confidently. Depending on the package, I will review your school list and identify financial form requirements, create a document checklist and timeline, walk parents through the CSS Profile or university forms, and support families as they prepare any/all financial docs.

Best for intl families who want practical guidance. My role is to help you understand the process, prepare the right materials, avoid common mistakes, and ask universities better questions when requirements are unclear.

About Cristina

Cristina B.Status: Offline
U.S. & Canada Uni Admissions Consultant, for international students
Dorchester, United Kingdom - 10:39 pm local time
I help international students and families navigate undergraduate admissions to universities in the United States and Canada with clear, strategic, and highly personalized guidance.

Families usually come to me when the process feels confusing or fragmented: too many countries, too many application platforms, unclear admissions expectations, uncertain school lists, financial documents to prepare, and no obvious way to know what should happen next. My role is to help families turn that uncertainty into a structured plan.

My core work includes:

• U.S. and Canadian undergraduate admissions strategy
• Balanced school list building across reach, target, likely, and affordability considerations
• Application component audits, including activities, recommendations, essays, testing, major choice, and deadlines
• Guidance on financial aid and application-related documents, including CSS Profile, institutional forms, scholarship materials, and certification of finances
• Parent advising and process explanation
• Interview preparation and application timeline planning
• Essay strategy and feedback when it supports the broader application plan

I specialize in helping international families understand not just what to submit, but why each piece matters. A strong application is not only a collection of essays and forms. It is a set of choices: where to apply, how to present the student’s academic and personal strengths, which deadlines to prioritize, which schools are realistic, and how to think clearly about fit, cost, and long-term goals.

My deepest expertise is in U.S. and Canadian admissions, but I also regularly support students building global school lists that may include the UK, Europe, Japan, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. I do not believe students should apply based on rankings alone. The right university list should reflect academic interests, career goals, learning style, personality, family priorities, and financial reality.

I have over 12 years of experience as an independent admissions counselor and education consultant, and I work with a capped number of students each year so that every family receives careful attention and thoughtful guidance. I am a Professional Member of IECA, the Independent Educational Consultants Association, and NACAC, the National Association for College Admission Counseling. I also hold a Certificate in College Counseling from UCLA.

I am a good fit for families who want calm, honest, strategic guidance through a complex process - either hourly or as a long term coach focusing more holistically on the process of building a strong profile AND a strong student! I do not write essays for students or guarantee admissions outcomes. Instead, I help students and parents understand their options, make informed decisions, and build applications that are organized, authentic, and aligned with the student’s goals.
