English to Swahili Bible Article Translator (Using Swahili Union Version)
Emmanuel Mutai has worked for me since January 2022 as an English–Swahili translator on a substantial body of Bible-based articles. His work has consistently been of an exceptionally high standard.
He translates with great care, accuracy, and reverence for Scripture, faithfully rendering meaning rather than forcing denominational bias or personal interpretation. All Bible quotations were handled using the Swahili Union Version (SUV), which Emmanuel knows well and applies correctly and consistently.
What sets Emmanuel apart is his attention to detail and his integrity as a translator. His Swahili is natural, clear, and faithful to what the original text actually says, while preserving the tone and seriousness appropriate to Scripture-based material. He is reliable, thoughtful, and clearly understands the responsibility involved in translating biblical content.
Our working relationship ended only due to external issues with the Upwork payment platform, not because of any concern with Emmanuel’s work. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone seeking a skilled, trustworthy translator for Bible or Christian material, or for any work requiring accuracy, care, and respect for the source text.
