A scanned book is a set of photographs. Wrapped into an ebook as is, it's unreadable on phones; run through automatic OCR, it's full of recognition garbage. I do the full path by hand.
I'm a professional book designer and typesetter. I run OCR tuned to your book's language and typography, then correct the recognized text against the scanned pages - a full correction pass is included in every tier. Then I rebuild the book as a clean EPUB3: real headings, a working TOC, consistent styles, linked notes, embedded OFL-licensed fonts, illustrations cropped and placed.
Every file passes epubcheck with 0 errors and meets the requirements of Amazon KDP, Apple Books, Kobo, and Google Play. You receive a validation report and clear instructions for uploading the book to your own account.
Honest note: no OCR is perfect. The correction pass removes the vast majority of recognition errors; if you need press-ready text, I offer a separate full proofread against the original.
