C. Aaron Morrow, NEXXUS CIO/COO:
Aaron has decades of experience programming, working with computers of all types, and particularly PC-based systems. Like many of the best technology professionals, he began working with computers at an early age. He also has worked as a finance professional for many years.
He taught himself to program at age 9. When he was 10, Aaron was admitted to Duke University’s Computer Science Program, a special undergraduate program designed for gifted and talented high school students. For six years he was, by a margin of several years, the youngest student at Duke. Aaron passed Duke B.S.C.S. final exams at the age of 13. He was the youngest-ever systems administrator for Duke University at age 16.
At 17, he had completed both high school and college and began working as a consulting systems engineer and programmer, while pursuing on-the-job training in hardware. He was employed for two years by a mid-Atlantic computer retailer located near Duke in Durham, NC. Promoted to senior technician in less than a year, he took over warehouse and assembly operations for the entire company at age 18, while continuing to do project-based custom programming. At age 19, he owned and managed his own consulting practice as an independent systems engineer and software consultant.
During the next five years, he directed projects in Florida, New York, Oklahoma, Illinois, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Alabama. His clients have included Duke University, Research Triangle Institute, DuPont, EDS, Sumitomo Electric, US EPA, and dozens of small to mid-market businesses nationally.
After this, Aaron moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where he joined forces with other senior management talent to found PROJEX Consulting. In 2003, the partners voted to incorporate the business and relocate company headquarters to Atlanta, Georgia.
PROJEX was a Microsoft Certified Gold Partner™. Hewlett Packard Partner, and Intuit (QuickBooks) Partner, and provided management consulting, strategic planning, systems integration, and scalable management and technology solutions for the small to mid-market business. The company mission to create Better Management through Better Technology™ delivered integrated operational, financial and market information to C-level and senior management teams at client companies.
Mr. Morrow is a Microsoft Certified Professional™ and cross-platform developer with deep experience of information systems and business management, in both theory and application. Aaron has hired, trained, and managed all project staff, and personally supervised all technical project design for numerous IT, data, and network projects for nearly three decades. In the mid-2000s, Aaron sold his shares in PROJEX.
Aaron is currently the COO/CIO for NEXXUS Global, Inc., a C-level management consulting practice for small to mid-market companies, with offices in Atlanta, GA, and Newport Beach, CA,
Aaron has wide and deep experience delivering successful projects and solutions to client companies in financial analysis, planning, and projections, capitalization and recapitalization strategies, commercial lending, operational planning, ERP, and business process management. He is a lifelong technology and finance professional. His unique background brings great value to any business.
In his spare time, Aaron is engaged in ongoing research and development of environmentally responsible technologies for individuals and communities.
