Previously, I was working for the Centre of Excellence in Responsible as Program Manager of Sustainable Development in Karachi. At my previous workplace, I worked to make the private sector of Pakistan understand its responsibility to society and the environment it works in. We ensured that the businesses of Pakistan continue to become better for all their stakeholders. Businesses in Pakistan have one of the largest supply chains in the world, through production of textiles, surgical goods, sports goods, and so on. Hence, these businesses have impacts every day on millions of people in the country, mostly those living below the poverty line and living in areas struck most by impacts of climate change. I also assisted large businesses on their impacts via the UN SDGs. I wrote a report for the PBC titled: Decoupling Growth from Impact on the Environment, regarding the impact large businesses in Pakistan have on the environment.
On the side - I run a cause-related arts initiative through which I create paintings focusing on social and environmental issues occurring around the world and through their auction and sales, fund many causes globally.
