Project details

You'll receive a customized survey, one-on-one interviews with each employee (approx. 45 min in length), one final report with strategic recommendations, and one with individual engagement plans for each employee. The survey is 5-8 questions in length, based on your organization's specific needs, and deployed via email to your workforce. The survey contains questions specific to any employee engagement or retention challenges your organization is experiencing, as well as traditional engagement questions focused on identifying people's unique strengths and motivations. Upon completion of the survey, employees will be invited to schedule a 45-minute interview with me to dive deeper into their answers and provide greater context on what they need to thrive at work.

Upon completion of all surveys and interviews, an action report will be issued to leadership including strategic recommendations (any action leadership can take to improve overall engagement), as well as individual engagement plans for each employee. A phone call can be arranged following the report's submission to answer any questions or identify opportunities for employees to support one another's engagement styles.

About Leah

Employee Engagement Consultant | Founder of WhyWork | MPP
Minneapolis, United States - 11:56 pm local time
I'm an Employee Engagement consultant with 15+ years' of excellence in human resources, crisis communication, and education. Drawing on my background as an FBI Intelligence Analyst and professor of Statistical Methodology & Research Design, I developed a data-driven process to help small-to-medium size businesses navigate the collective crisis response known as the "Great Resignation."

My consulting firm, WhyWork, differs from traditional employee engagement organizations by acknowledging individuals’ unique circumstances and preferences as the primary driver of engagement and retention. The process establishes a baseline of employee preferences through an initial survey, then follows up with a one-on-one interview designed to uncover employees’ unique motivators and definitions of success. Those factors are recorded in an individual engagement plan for each employee and their preferences woven together to redesign the organization’s approach to work in way that increases employee engagement and drives organizational success.

The WhyWork Process:

1. Meet with organizational leadership to identify unique challenges contributing to attrition or employee disengagement;
2. Develop a customized employee survey to establish baseline preferences;
3. Conduct one-on-one interviews with each employee to uncover their unique needs and motivating factors;
4. Provide leadership with an action report comprised of strategic recommendations, individual engagement plans, and opportunities for employees to collaborate to support one another's unique engagement styles.

The WhyWork sweet spot is serving organizations of up to 30 employees or micro-teams within larger businesses. For an organization of ~30 employees, the entire process takes approximately six weeks. Contact me for action report examples. I look forward to helping your organization win the war for talent!
