Following this role, I successfully concluded my training as a German and European patent attorney at a reputable law firm in Berlin. I achieved outstanding grades in the German exam ( "Prädikatsexamen") and successfully passed the European exam on my first attempt (which does not include a grading system).
I have been working in the field of intellectual property for 10 years now, with extensive experience in drafting patent applications, patent prosecution, and contentious proceedings — in particular in the fields of computer-implemented inventions, automotive engineering, and mechanical engineering. My contentious work includes, among other things, support in dispute and litigation-related matters (e.g., preparation of claim charts, validity/infringement assessments, development of prior-art-based attack and defense lines, and coordination with litigation counsel).
As a qualified patent attorney, I am also authorized to represent clients before the EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office), making me a European Trademark and Design Attorney. In this field, I have gained extensive experience, including contentious EUIPO proceedings such as oppositions and cancellation actions.
