You will get a Workshop: Harnessing Brain Science for Better Communication & Feedback

Project details
Did you know that about 70% of the time, feedback doesn't have the intended consequences?
Everyone can improve how to give and receive feedback. Whether in person or remote, team members' interactions can be challenging. It’s easy to get defensive, or to feel hurt or even angry.
There *is* a solution: Understanding the science behind how the brain processes feedback--along with insight on individual functioning styles--can reveal how to pivot and create immediate positive results. Once the code is cracked, you and your team can focus on giving and receiving feedback in ways where everyone is “heard,” validated, and set up for success.
This 90 minute on-line team workshop includes:
-an introduction to the brain science of communication and feedback
-tests to determine each individual's functioning type
-discussion of the various types and what they mean for individuals and the team
-activities to practice new feedback pathways
-brainstorming action steps to continue the hard work you completed during the workshop
-discussing strategies to keep one other accountable.
Give yourself and your team new tools to boost feedback efficiency...and reduce communication-related stress.

As president, CEO, project manager or other type of leader, you're looked to for all the answers. Your behaviors, actions, interactions...all of these go under the microscope as your staff and the broader community make assumptions about what it means to be part of the organization or to use its services or products.
And what of organizational culture? It's more than just a buzz phrase: It impacts employee engagement, productivity, outreach/marketing and, naturally, outcomes. Most organizations can benefit from cultural transformation, whether it's fine-tuning or a complete overhaul. Navigating culture change of any magnitude is demanding, particularly for leaders.
Don’t get trapped in the “problem” mindset. Colleagues refer to me as artful in taking obstacles and reframing them as moments for opportunity. My methods, tailored for each client, are grounded in sound academic theory and are proven to play out in the real world.
My academic training blended with real-world experience (topped by good-natured humor) is my special sauce. Efficiency and quality are important to me, which translates into high-energy, fast-paced, results-oriented performance. Above all, I always maintain integrity and bring passion to every project.
I welcome the opportunity to use my expertise for your blog, website or book; at your retreat, meeting, or class; or through strategy and planning sessions. Perhaps most importantly, I am the (wo)Man Behind the Curtain for all of your 1:1 leadership coaching needs.
My track record of working remotely is long and successful, spanning nearly 15 years. Projects of any size and scope will be considered, as well as some travel if necessary, post-pandemic. I typically focus on short-term projects because my goal is your self-sustainability (i.e., teaching you to fish)—not to make myself indispensable. Let's chat if you're interested in exploring whether my skills and your needs are a good match.

FUTURE LEADERS, I can help you, too! My psychology background includes research with adolescents and young adults. Additionally, I hold a college advising certificate from Columbia University. Let’s tackle that college selection process and essay writing together. I’ll keep you on course and moving ahead, all while encouraging you to flex your leadership muscles. Choosing and applying to college is a time for excitement—not fear. You just need the right partner to keep you steady as you work toward your dreams. Contact me and we’ll determine whether we’ve got the right chemistry for that all-important partnership.
