Project details

This project is related to predicting the prices of Greek paintings at Bonhams auction, that take place twice a year. Also it is related to predicting if a painting is going to be sold or not. Along with the predictions various descriptive statistics are going to be carried out, regarding the painters, the theme of the paintings, the movement, the medium that was used etc. Finally many visual output will be displayed. My goal is to help and consult people who are interested in investing in paintings. Help possible clients predict in advance the right price of a painting. Open to further suggestions

Currently working in Sani/Ikos group as a Data Analyst. I have a Master's in Statistical Science for Life and Behavioural Sciences along with the European Masters of Official Statistics. I specialize in survival analysis(Kaplan-Meier, Cox models), generalized linear models(OLS, Logistic and Poisson regression), multivariate and multidimensional techniques(PCA, MCA factor analysis), statistical learning techniques (Random Forest, XGBoost, Naive Bayes), non-parametric tests (T-test, Wald-test, Kruskal-Wallis, etc.), data processing and filtering (SQL). I also have experience with SPSS, MS office tools like Excel, and word and data visualization using R-shiny, ggplot2, and gganimate. I was an intern in the Central Bureau voor Statistiek in the Netherlands (CBS) for nine months, and I am a statistical/data analyst since 7/2019. I have completed multiple freelance projects related to sports(ex. horse racing), elections(national greek), medical research(ex. covid-19 studies) and social analysis, price predictions, etc. I am from Greece and based in my hometown Thessaloniki; I speak fluent English and basic French.
