AI HR Assistant – CV Screening & Interview Scheduling
This project is an AI-powered HR automation system built using n8n, Google Drive, PDF extraction, LLM-based agents, Gmail, and Google Calendar to automate hiring workflows end-to-end.
The system scans a Google Drive folder for CVs, downloads each file, extracts text from PDFs, and analyzes the content using an AI recruitment agent specialized in Python developer roles. The AI returns structured JSON data including candidate name, email, qualifications, years of Python experience, a concise summary, and a hire recommendation.
All extracted details are sent to HR via email using a send-and-wait approval flow. Based on the approval response, the workflow either proceeds or skips the candidate automatically.
For approved candidates, a second AI agent schedules interviews by checking availability strictly within the next calendar week, selecting the earliest valid 1-hour slot, and creating a Google Calendar event without manual coordination.
Result:
The system removes manual CV screening, speeds up hiring decisions, ensures consistent evaluation, and fully automates interview scheduling through AI-driven workflows.
