I will review one or more of your current business processes and identify practical opportunities to reduce manual work, improve reporting, strengthen visibility, and implement automation or AI support where it makes sense.

This project is designed for businesses that are growing but still relying on spreadsheets, email, WhatsApp, manual approvals, disconnected tools, or inconsistent internal workflows. I focus on practical improvements that can actually be implemented with your current team and systems.

You will receive a clear written assessment with prioritized recommendations, suggested tools or workflow structure, and next-step guidance for implementation.

Typical areas reviewed can include approvals, reporting, HR administration, customer onboarding, lead follow-up, document handling, internal communication, and recurring admin-heavy tasks.

About Johannes

Operations & Automation Consultant | AI, Workflows, Growth
Sukoharjo, Indonesia - 1:08 pm local time
I help companies improve operations, reduce manual work, strengthen reporting, and implement practical automation and AI in ways that actually work in the real world. I have more than 20 years of experience supporting corporates, startups, investors, and donor-linked programs across Asia-Pacific, with work spanning mining, logistics, energy, maritime, industrial operations, sustainability, and technology-enabled businesses.

My work sits between strategy and execution. I support clients with operational improvement, workflow redesign, business growth, stakeholder engagement, partnership development, and go-to-market execution. I also help businesses improve management visibility, streamline internal processes, and reduce administrative drag through automation and practical AI implementation. This includes work around approvals, reporting, HR workflows, customer processes, document handling, internal knowledge support, and administrative systems. Through Hugin, I have worked on these kinds of solutions with Hugin operating as a Zapier Silver Solution Partner.

I am particularly useful when a business has outgrown informal ways of working and needs better structure without creating unnecessary complexity. That may mean diagnosing bottlenecks, improving KPI and reporting structures, redesigning workflows, strengthening workforce and leadership capability, or helping management move from scattered information toward clearer control and better execution. My approach is practical and commercially grounded. I focus on what can actually be implemented with the people, systems, and constraints already in place.

I also bring hands-on experience supporting international companies exploring Indonesia. This includes market entry support, local partnership development, go-to-market planning, and helping translate strategy into workable local execution models. For clients looking at Indonesia, I can help bridge the gap between the business plan and the local operating reality.

My experience includes advisory and delivery work through Hugin, Silverwing Investment, Apex Strategic Ventures, and The Apex Consulting Group. I have supported work connected to organizations such as Newcrest/Newmont, Rocktree, the World Bank, New Ventures Indonesia, and the Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. Alongside advisory work, I have also founded and managed businesses myself, including ventures in maritime services, hospitality, and software. That gives me a strong appreciation for execution risk, commercial reality, and the difference between ideas that sound good in a meeting and ideas that will actually hold up in practice.

I hold a Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communication from Northwestern University and a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and International Business from Queensland University of Technology. I work in English, Norwegian, and Bahasa Indonesia, and I am comfortable working across cultures, functions, and levels of seniority. Clients usually bring me in when they need clear thinking, structured problem-solving, and support that can move from advice into implementation.
