Using a digital pH meter, an electronic instrument designed to accurately measure the acidity or alkalinity of a solution, one can determine its pH value on a numerical scale, typically from 0 to 14. The digital pH meter uses a sensitive glass electrode and a reference electrode to detect hydrogen ion activity in liquids and converts it into a precise digital reading. Using a digital pH meter one can also do dynamic pH measurements, which means monitoring the change of the pH as a function of time.
