B Corp Certification is hard. The B Impact Assessment typically consists of 150-250 questions and many businesses simply do not have the time to complete this (and provide evidence), let alone implement sustainability initiatives to improve their organisation for the better. The assessment score requirement for certification is 80, but the average score is 51 points.
In addition, the standards are set to change in 2025, making certification even more difficult!

Since then (and from my degree focussed on future transport, sustainable energy and product design) I have learnt how to measure business impact on customers, employees, suppliers and, ultimately, the planet.
