• Self-taught artist who has been drawing (and reading) since she can remember.
• Kept a nature journal throughout her life, which later enabled her to create realistic backgrounds and vignettes.
• Proficient in the traditional (and difficult) ink and watercolor style.
• Self-published an alphabet book in high school.
• Has created and sold over 80 greeting card designs.
• Created whimsical custom paintings to the buyer’s specifications.
• Keeps an active sketchbook where scenes and characters are developed and refined.
• In her spare time, illustrates stories for herself and her friends.
Projects move at the pace of 2-3 pictures a week, depending on their size and complexity. Communication is important for both author and illustrator, so concepts and sketches are constantly shared at every stage of development. I usually reply to messages on the same day.
