Project details

You will receive a professionally designed research poster ready to be printed and displayed at your conference. My more than 20 years of design experience helps my clients to set themselves apart from other poster session presenters, thus invariably raising the bar. My presentation and poster designs are fueled by my prior work experience as web developer in a physics department at an Ivy League university where my task was to present the department to the world in a way that is attractive, informative and easy to navigate. Among other things, I was a judge at Penn State's graduate student poster competition for several years. I held instructional seminars attended by academics, including Ivy League faculty and students, on how to create professional posters and presentations. A number of posters designed by me won awards at conferences. I do not use cookie cutter templates. I am able to organize even enormous amounts of text into logical and legible segments. I frequently hear the request to perform "magic".

I am a former web developer at Princeton University, and currently independent contractor at Penn State University where I do mainly presentation and poster design/redesign. I have over 20 years of academic web and presentation design experience. I am offering help in the following areas: scientific and business PowerPoint presentation design, large-format poster design for poster sessions at scientific/medical conferences; figure and table development for inclusion in scientific and medical journals; branded conference materials, document formatting. I have always strived to be pixel-perfect, and offer creative ways to distill the essence of what my clients need to convey to the world. I believe that less is more and my designs reflect it. Even though I work mainly with scientists and medical professionals, my skill set translates well to business applications. My favorite projects are the ones that ask me to "do your magic" - transform a plain or chaotic slide deck or poster into something that elicits an instant "wow". I am passionate about my work and consider myself lucky that I can do what I love and call it work.
