Hi! My name is Jo and I'm a female US-based artist and illustrator. Although I am new to Upwork, I am not new to making art, with more than fifteen years of experience taking commissions and working with clients. I'm a traditional illustrator, meaning most of my art is made by hand the old-fashioned way - with pen and paper. I think this lends it a certain feel that is hard to replicate digitally.
At the end of this project, you will have a handful of custom, hand-drawn, full color illustrations of your choosing.
I work from a professional studio, including a high-end art scanner, Wacom tablet, and photoshop, making it easy to digitize all of my art. I am proficient in Photoshop and use it to clean up and smooth out all of my illustrations. I am a fast worker and can usually expect to finish a project in a week or less, unless the project calls for human forms, in which case I may need a week and a half to get them finalized and looking great. I am self-motivated and organized and am not one to procrastinate. I want to get your project finished and finalized as quickly as possible!

I have more than twelve years of experience as a professional full time artist. I am knowledgable in three point perspective and life drawing, and have a robust understanding of color theory and art history. I am technically skilled in photoshop, with a setup that includes a private art studio with a wacom tablet, high end art scanner and printer. I am first and foremost a traditional illustrator, making all of my art by hand on paper. I have lots of experience translating those illustrations to a digital medium!

Sketch + Revision
Early on in the process, I will provide rough sketches of each illustration. I will share a vision for color and style and accept revisions at this time. Once these revisions have been discussed, I will create the final project.
