Through working with others, I've developed a step-by-step process that will take you from the initial ideation phase to the final printing, self-publishing or publisher queries.

Process
1. I begin with a consultation with you to understand your story, characters and style preferences.
2. Using Pinterest, we will find reference photos and images to further define the style.
3. At the same time, I will produce a text outline of what is shown on each page based on your story.
4. I start drafting rough sketches of characters and environments for each page.
5. In the storyboard stage, you can see the overall layout and what is going to be shown on each page.
6. Once the storyboard is approved, I then will suggest a few color palettes according to your preferences.
7. Finally, when colors and sketches are decided, I will be working on the final illustration.
Between each step there should be feedback, so I'll always be working with the latest changes.

After purchasing the project, send requirements so Yuan-Yuan, Valentina can start the project.
Delivery time starts when Yuan-Yuan, Valentina receives requirements from you.

Rough sketches
I make a few rough sketches according to your idea, and you can choose the best one to go forward. This is the most important step of the process.
Finalized sketch in colors
The approved sketch from the previous step is now finalized and colored in (if using color).
