Cute Illustrations Posterboard for New Business
This was my very first time hiring a freelancer. You hire a freelancer for them to hopefully not only provide a product or service, but fill gaps in your knowledge with their own expertise in the field and Marianne did just that.
I laid out a vision with Marianne and said that I could be particular about design details. To help with this, she provided two different art styles that I could choose from based on my original request. They were both great and she nailed exactly what I wanted.
I have deficits in print/web design knowledge, and she consistently provided file formats that kept both of these different fields in mind, acknowledging my desire to have the illustrations separate from the text. The pixel sizes were standardized which made them easy to put into my website.
On my own side, there were a few times where I did not communicate quickly back to Marianne. She was graceful and understanding, and consistently completed the project milestones despite my gaps in communication.
I even asked her to redo a portion of a drawing after the initial sketch phase, and she was graceful with that too.
I do NOT recommend doing that to her though!!! She deserves better. I have learned to be more attentive with initial sketches so as to not make artists do redundant work, especially work as good as hers.
I highly recommend Marianne and will work with her again for any future graphic design projects!
