One of my strongest skills is creating characters that stay 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲𝘀, 𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀. My goal is to create illustrations that are 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱, and cohesive from cover to final page.

My background in 𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 shapes the way I illustrate. It trained me to think carefully about 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹 — skills I now apply to children’s book illustration.

I use 𝗔𝗜-𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 when helpful for 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, and 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, but AI does not replace my role in the final artwork.
