As a designer my goal is to streamline the product design and development process as much as possible. I do this by working closely with the team, stakeholders and the end user to identify the problem set that needs to be solved.
Design Process to Expect
- Stakeholder and User Interview: This helps me get an understanding of business and user goals.
- User Research and Competitive Analysis: What does the marketplace look like and how can we as a team be competitive? Who's doing it right and who's missing the mark?
- Brainstorming: Works individually or as a group (I've led workshops in both). Let's get mindshare on potential directions. This also helps keep everyone in the loop. All voices are important.
- Sketching: Me throwing everything out and seeing what sticks.
- Wireframes: Rough digital cut that can be shared and used for testing.
- High Fidelity Design - I make it look pretty. The design tool i use integrates well with InVision. I can export CSS for a better workflow with Development.
- User Testing and A/B testing: Are we doing this right? If not, why?
-Prototyping (For more complex projects): I can create something clickable for users to walk through.
-Iterate and Cleanup
