I specialize in product enclosures, housings, injection-molded plastic parts, sheet metal enclosures, and DFM-focused mechanical design. Over the past 7+ years, I have worked on 100+ molded components and production tooling, with a strong focus on designing parts that are practical to mold, assemble, quote, and manufacture.
My design process considers manufacturing from the beginning, not after the CAD is complete. For injection-molded parts, I work through draft angles, wall-thickness uniformity, ribs, bosses, snap-fits, parting lines, gate location, sink marks, weld lines, shrinkage, ejection, and tooling feasibility while the geometry is being developed.
For sheet metal products, I design manufacturable enclosures, brackets, panels, covers, chassis, and assemblies with correct bend allowances, reliefs, PEM hardware, fastening strategy, welding considerations, powder coating clearances, and flat-pattern-ready drawings.
I commonly work on:
