MY PROCESS OF DESIGNING:
My goal is to make a design that is in harmony with the surroundings and natural elements, so as a designer, creating a healthy living or outdoor space is very important for me. I always take into account the particular location where a design is required and analyze the terrain topography and local conditions such as climate, microclimate, surroundings, and all existing elements. Based on that I can decide what strategies should be applied to make the building most energy-efficient and most suitable for the climate, or the outdoor space with comfortable conditions for people and plants.
I am also involved in eco-buildings made of natural materials. I have practical experience in building with natural materials (earth, straw, stone, wood), attended a lot of workshops, worked on construction sites for buildings with natural materials, had lectures, and explored a lot about vernacular architecture and modern architecture using these types of materials.
Energy efficiency and sustainability is a crucial factor during design. I make my concepts based on energy evaluation and how different strategies or elements of the building affect the total energy demand of the house.
As a permaculture designer, I am trying to implement permaculture strategies in my designs – a holistic approach that tends to fulfill sustainable ways of living.
