Senior Mobile UI/UX Designer – Dark Luxury Dating App (Design System + Token Focus) – $1,000
If you need a true senior mobile designer who brings real developer insight and genuine care to every project, hire Bohdan immediately. He has been a complete game changer for my dating app. Before finding him, I interviewed about five other people who claimed they are senior graphic designers and it was incredibly frustrating. One abruptly ended a scheduled two hour live session right when she was supposed to start auto layout, claiming she was too busy. I had 2 others that went ghost on me for a test they agreed to do. One man claimed the pdf guidebook I made was like a North Korean handbook- that one to be honest truly hurt since I am so passionate about my dating app. Others failed at basic requirements like proper auto layout and design tokens. Bohdan was completely different. From day one he agreed to a tough two hour live test where he demonstrated complex auto layout and built a full explorer page with swiping functionality right in front of me. He was honest, admitting he was tired because of the late hour, but his work was still excellent. Not many designers have the confidence to put themselves under that level of scrutiny.
Bohdan does not just make screens look beautiful. He truly understands mobile logic and user experience. Thanks to his development background, he spots issues before they become problems. When I suggested a banner for social media sharing, he warned that high match volumes would create notification overload and could cause lag or even crashes. He also caught that my logo looked poor in light mode and recommended a better solution instead of just building it. I even cross checked several of his suggestions with AI because I can be stubborn, and the AI confirmed his solutions were excellent every single time. He caught dozens of missing screens and logic gaps I had overlooked, literally saving me thousands of dollars.
Despite the big time difference between the US and his location, working with him was seamless. He bundled his questions into organized batches to respect my time, responded extremely quickly even late at night, and adapted instantly with zero complaints when I made major pivots. He also collaborated smoothly with my React Native developer on video calls.
To be honest, now knowing how screens are designed, I misrepresented the job in my posting by calling it polishing existing screens. In reality, Bohdan designed all of the screens from scratch. He handled the entire scope professionally and without any friction. I am so proud of the final product that I amended my NDA to let him showcase these screens in his portfolio with private information protected.
