I regret to say that my experience with this web designer was incredibly disappointing. I paid approximately $1k for a site redesign, expecting a professional and seamless process, but instead encountered a series of issues that left my website in worse shape than before. Abdul also asked that I pay him upfront $300 to help with personal expenses. I did this, and we never had a conversation regarding what the cost of the project would be. So after accepting money from me then he came back and asked for $3k for the project which was way out of my budget. We finally negotiated on a price after he had already done the entire site mockup. I thought it was unprofessional of him to accept money and start the design work prior to discussion the final price.
First, there was no discussion about the theme that would be used for the redesign, he just used the old theme we were already using. The designer proceeded to use an outdated theme and built the site with Elementor, despite the fact that the original theme was intended to work with Bold Builder. This fundamental misalignment caused significant problems down the line. Elementor Pro could also not be updated, making it so we still can't update the site.
The designer also created new pages but failed to understand the basics of changing site structure and transferring essential SEO elements, including keywords, tags, and schema, to the new site. As a result, my site was deranked in search engines, and I had to personally step in to correct these mistakes.
To make matters worse, the redesigned site continued to crash repeatedly. Instead of accepting responsibility, the designer shifted the blame to the hosting company and others who had nothing to do with the changes made to the site.
Overall, this experience was frustrating, time-consuming, and costly. I would not recommend this web designer to anyone looking for a reliable and competent professional.
