E-commerce Website Development for Restaurant Business
Toks O , I wanted to have an honest conversation about the current website work. From the last week, I have been spending approximately 6 - 7 hours every day working on website updates, revisions, and implementing the requested changes. I completely understand that refining a website takes time, and I've been happy to support the project because I wanted to help you achieve the best possible result. However, the amount of time this is now requiring has started affecting my own business. Since I'm dedicating most of my working hours to these revisions, I'm unable to focus on my paid client projects, which means I'm losing billable work and income. Up until now, I've been doing these changes without charging because I genuinely wanted to support you and move the project forward. But unfortunately, I can no longer continue providing several hours of work every day free of cost. Like everyone else, I also need to earn a living and support my family, I also have family needs to fulfill, need earnings to run my family so I have to be mindful of how I spend my working hour, as we have this day timing only to run my livelihood. I truly value our working relationship, and I would be happy to continue working on the website. However, for the ongoing revisions and development work, I also wanted to clarify that the recent requests are not fixes to the original work. These are new add-on tasks and additional improvements, such as: 1) Making the Aaye Wa page cleaner and better organized. 2) Redesigning the Private Bookings Policy section so it fits the page better. 3) Standardizing the typography across the entire website. 4) Improving or updating the logo. These are new requirements that were not part of the original scope of work. If you hired any other developer for these additional tasks, they would also charge separately because this involves extra development time beyond the completed work. Because we've worked together for a long time and I genuinely value our relationship, I'm not asking for a high rate. I'd be more than happy to continue working on these updates, and you can even hire me again for this project at a lower rate if that helps If allocating a budget for these changes isn't possible at the moment, I completely understand. In that case, I think it would be better to close the project rather than continue under the current arrangement. I hope you understand where I'm coming from. This isn't an easy conversation for me to have, but I wanted to be transparent and honest instead of letting it affect the quality of my work or delaying other commitments. Thank you for your understanding, and I hope we can find a solution that works well for both of us.
