I hired this freelancer for a minor design refresh in Figma on an already-built file. She billed 20 hours over about a day (23 hrs), which didn’t make sense for the scope. When I raised the concern, the hours were justified as planning/research rather than clear deliverables. I offered to approve 11 hours, but could not approve the full billed time. She then ended the contract.
