Refine Existing Logo Design in Adobe Illustrator Vector Format
My job posting included a logo mockup that I did. I wanted the logo refined with some customizations, and re-created in Adobe Illustrator. I provided detailed instructions for what I wanted changed.
This contractor was easy to communicate with, and quick reply time. He quickly came back with an example to see if he understood the project, but it missed the mark. I explained some more.
He did not seem to understand what I wanted and came back with my mockup as the background, with other images taken from clipart sites, pasted on top.
The interesting thing is, I hired two people for this same job hoping to pick the best one, and they both went to pick free clipart from other sources.
In future, I'll post it as an hourly job so I can check what is being done and whether the work is original or picked from another source. I could easily pick clipart from other sources myself. When posting a job to provide a logo (which I mocked up) in vector, I expected it to be drawn in Illustrator by the contractor.
I hope this serves to help others on Upwork, and that it is a learning experience for the contractor. I truly appreciated this contractor's quick responses and wish him all the best in the future.
