Email Designer (Figma Expert) for High-Converting E-Commerce Brand (Beauty)
We hired this contractor after he performed very well on the initial test assignment. The test work was visually strong and aligned with the quality we were looking for. However, once the contract began, the actual deliverables did not meet the same standard.
The project involved creating five emails, which ended up taking approximately 15 billed hours. Unfortunately, the final designs felt very basic and did not reflect the level of design quality presented during the hiring process. The work was not aligned with our brand expectations, and we ultimately felt misled by the discrepancy between the test assignment and the production work delivered.
To his credit, he did offer to revise the designs, but by that point we had already lost significant time in our production schedule and decided it was best to end the contract.
Communication was professional throughout, but the delivered work and efficiency did not meet our expectations for this engagement.
