DevOps developer with Docker to Dockerize, Document and Deploy our Jisti solution (Linux OS)
I contracted the services of Budi Santoso for a crucial DevOps project that began on January 23, 2022. The project required comprehensive knowledge and application of Docker to dockerize our customized Jitsi solution, along with documenting the deployment process thoroughly, and ensuring a successful deployment on a Linux-based server. Regrettably, Budi was unable to fulfill these expectations.
Budi's role entailed the deployment of our Jitsi solution, the creation of a Docker environment with automation capabilities for deployment on new and existing servers, as well as the development of accessible and in-depth documentation. Our system, which comprised a NodeJS backend, Angular frontend, and Jitsi for video calling, was to be hosted on a subdomain with SSL URL, using a Linux OS.
Despite our initial enthusiasm and belief in Budi's capabilities, he failed to deliver any of the tasks. Even more troubling is that he was fully compensated for the project, yet I received no further progress updates or communication after April 6, 2022. This has not only left us with an unfinished project, but also imposed additional financial constraints as we had to find a replacement to fulfill his role.
In light of this experience, it is difficult to endorse Budi's professional skills or work ethic. His failure to deliver, coupled with his lack of communication and accountability, created significant challenges and setbacks for our project. In the tech industry, where commitment, reliability, and open communication are as paramount as technical abilities, Budi's actions during this project were highly disappointing and had a negative impact on our operations.
Therefore, I would strongly advise potential employers to consider these factors when thinking about engaging Budi for future roles. It is my hope that Budi learns from this experience and exhibits more professionalism and commitment in his future endeavors.
