The interesting engineering is orchestration, coordinating several agents so they stay reliable against live data, with guardrails on both ends and people in control of the decisions that count.

The interesting engineering is orchestration, coordinating several agents so they stay reliable against live data, with people in control of the decisions that count.
On the model side, I fine-tune large language models on GPU clusters when a general-purpose model is too costly or too blunt for the job. The goal is usually a smaller, cheaper model that matches a frontier model on one narrow task.
Most engineers do one or the other. Being comfortable at both ends means I can tell you when you actually need a custom model versus when good orchestration and the right existing model will get you there faster and cheaper.
I use modern coding agents in my own daily workflow, so I ship quickly without losing the discipline these systems need.
