Most of my work sits in one of three areas:
Custom CRM and internal platforms.
Bespoke systems for client management, bookings, memberships, invoicing and reporting. Built around how your organisation actually operates rather than forcing your team into someone else’s workflow. This includes multi-tenant architecture where you need separate, isolated data for multiple sites, branches or client organisations.
Healthcare and care-sector systems.
I have delivered work for care providers where safeguarding records, retention periods, consent tracking and UK GDPR obligations are not optional extras. I am comfortable building to documented compliance requirements and producing the audit trails that inspections and insurers ask for.
Government and public-sector contracts.
Work delivered against formal specifications, accessibility standards and procurement requirements, with the documentation and testing standards those engagements demand.
Technical stack
Laravel (Eloquent, queues, jobs, multi-tenancy, Pest testing), PHP 8.x, Livewire, Vue 3, PostgreSQL and MySQL, REST API design and third-party integrations, Stripe payments and subscriptions, WordPress and WooCommerce for content-led builds, deployment via Laravel Forge and AWS, CI pipelines with GitHub Actions.
How I work
I ask questions before I write code. I would rather spend an hour understanding your process than deliver something technically correct that solves the wrong problem. You get honest assessments, including when the answer is that you do not need a custom build.
Work is tested, documented and handed over so you are never locked in to me as a single point of failure.
I take on both greenfield builds and rescue work on existing Laravel applications that have outgrown their original scope.
