Before I even hired her, Nausheen sent me information about what I need to provide so that she could make my website (I'm completely new to this and didn't know what I needed), which was really helpful. She was very accessible and communicative, which I really appreciated. She also met with me and walked me through the site and how to make changes to it. When I couldn't figure out how to post on the blog, she created a template for me. When I couldn't figure out how to use that, she was willing to make a few posts for me, which was really helpful. And she added things to my website that I never would have known how to do, so it was definitely a good choice for me to pay her to do it rather than continue to do it by myself. I think my only issue is that I have received feedback from others that there was too much scrolling and too many calls to action. Otherwise, it was great working with her and my website is now far better than it would have been!

Website Creator Required For New Business Setup
One of the best individuals I’ve worked with.
From communication to delivery, Nausheen was amazing.
You’d be crazy not to hire her.

Simple single page+ responsive website w/ cPanel Host
Nausheen is very kind and pleasant to work with. Her coding skills in WP/Elementor seem decent as she was eventually able to create many custom elements and delivered work that extended past the initial concept and scope of design - essentially to my satisfaction. She was patient with changes and accommodated meetings in the early AM or late PM for our respective locations. She is clearly determined to develop her skills and professionalism.
What follows are the detailed critiques I have - NOT to discourage others from hiring her - but to give her guidance for building on her considerable talents and to perform better for her clients. I encourage everyone to interview her with interest and to consider my evaluation of her strengths and weaknesses.
The following are my critiques. 1. As a former desktop publisher and graphic designer I gave extensive direction for design and layout, look and feel and palette to the point of creating very detailed mockups in PowerPoint. She does not have a strong graphic design eye for following these visual directions, for centering, balance, typography & paragraph spacing, etc. requiring many adjustments. 2. She seems to be working with only a laptop, as when we reviewed the work on a monitor the dimensions and scale was way off (too small) and it took a lot of cycles to get these fixed (to have appropriate fill and size for monitor and laptop views.) 3. She needed and thanked me for (saying it really helped her) detailed checklists to complete items; even when we had zoom meetings and we discussed all of the items to change, some would not get done until I spent a lot of time creating checklists and instructions with screen shots and examples. 4. She was not thorough in QA, and a handful of glitches needed to be fixed. 5. She 'generously' created many videos that were to help me learn, to continue updates and manage the simple site. However many of these are long and not directed to my needs. Communication was poor in this regard. Likewise, she would send many screen videos out of Figma and later from her off-line development site, which in retrospect slowed down design and development; I would have preferred the production dev site to be stood up MUCH sooner to save creative cycles and weeks' worth of time 6. She missed a critical design element that was defined right up front (to color code two distinct carousels / sections of the site for highly visible distinction) as we spent too much time on other matters, so these got pushed aside. 7. I requested a specific 'placeholder/redirect' for mobile and tablet views, so that the desktop/laptop views would have full attention and development (including the added colors); in lieu, she created these other views that are usable (and welcome) but not fully developed to desired outcome - thereby also leaving the larger views with a few items to address. 8. I wrote/stated twice during the beginning of the work that I would provide a Word or plain text file of content to upload, and to let me know when she is ready for that. Instead, she grabbed the content off my old site. As a result I spent a long day reviewing and editing every paragraph, one by one. 9. She closed the project in Upwork before we had a final handoff and left items open as follows: a.) my final payment (although I provided a VERY generous holiday gift to show my appreciation for a lot of work); b.) the URL still points to a 'demo' directory; c.) she twice removed a pop-up plugin that I wanted to keep to indicate the site is "under construction" on her own assumption; d.) a few minor fixit items.
Nausheen ~ thank you for your dedicated efforts and hard work. I wish you well in building out your portfolio and success in all your future opportunities.
