Expert Setup for Print on Demand Store
⭐☆☆☆☆ DANGER - Vindictive, Unprofessional & Holds Your Website Hostage
BE WARNED before hiring this developer.
I hired this developer for a website project and what followed was one of the most unprofessional, stressful and borderline threatening experiences I have ever had with a freelancer.
Mid-project, immediately after I initiated and funded a milestone, he disappeared on a 5-day vacation without any notice or communication. No heads up, no handoff, nothing. I was left completely in the dark while my project sat at a standstill.
What I didn't know at the time was that while he was gone, he had deliberately disabled my admin access to my own WordPress website. My own site. This left me completely unable to work, unable to bring in another developer to keep things moving, and completely helpless. I spent over a day troubleshooting, thinking the problem was technical, not realizing that someone had intentionally sabotaged my access as a power play.
When he finally resurfaced, instead of apologizing for vanishing or restoring my access like any professional would, he did something that I can only describe as extortion — he threatened that unless I uploaded and funded the next milestone, he would refuse to restore my admin access to my own website. Let that sink in. He was holding my own website hostage to force payment.
This is not a business dispute. This is vindictive, manipulative and predatory behavior toward a paying client.
Fortunately I was able to access my hosting backend, restore my own admin rights, and immediately revoke his access before any further damage could be done. Had I not been resourceful enough to figure that out, I shudder to think what he would have done next.
This developer is not just unprofessional — he is a genuine danger to any client who hires him. He will take your money, disappear, lock you out of your own property, and then threaten you when you ask for basic accountability. This is not incompetence. This is calculated and deliberate.
Do not hire this person under any circumstances. There are thousands of talented, honest developers out there. This is not one of them.
