I am a Machine Learning Engineer with more than one year of Hands on experience in Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing. I am currently employed as a Machine learning Researcher at DataInsight Research Lab, NUCES - Fast University, Islamabad. Where I am part of DataInsight Research team and I am working in Computer Vision, particularly Visual Document Understanding (VDU), digitalizing Hand written medical prescriptions.
About project:
the idea is to extract all important information from hand written medical prescriptions' images into a Structured format for analyzing data, saving patient records and help govt. to set budget for healthcare department.
tasks we performed in project:
- Key-Information Extraction (KIE)
- Object detection
- Name entity recognition (NER)
- Optical character Recognition (OCR)
- Visual Query Answering (VQA)

Further I have also working experience with Knowledge Distillation, the technique used to reduce weights (size) of model while maintaining accuracy.
