All my past projects involved a step-by-step approach that included but was not limited to requirements gathering through discussions with internal leadership and the client, obtaining data from the client with all required data elements, analysis of the client data for any anomalies, discrepancies or gaps followed by strategizing, creating and running models. Following this stage i would spend considerable time analyzing results with team members to find any errors and conduct a subsequent root cause analysis if at all required.

I possess over 15 years of relevant work experience related to advanced analytics and am a Canadian Permanent Resident. This includes 3 years as Data Scientist using R, SQL Tableau and Machine Learning techniques to develop customized algorithms to optimize Facebook ad arbitrage/bidding, 9 years working on business development and continuous improvement projects in the consultancy/3pl services industry and 2 yrs as a Data Analyst/Engineer for an OEM. I have worked across both the public and private sectors for companies related to the supply chain, retail, automotive, heavy machinery and online advertising industries. In addition, I also have 3 years’ experience working on Data Science/Machine Learning Big Data projects through competitions and capstone projects.
My most recent experience is with an online marketing/advertising firm in the capacity of Lead Data Analyst. My role included understanding the current systems and processes involving bidding for ad space on Facebook, detect correlations, trends, patterns etc. and subsequently using R, Tableau, SQL and ML concepts to create our own bid cap optimization algorithm for various verticals on Facebook. Involved continuous interaction with IT team to translate the algorithms on paper into actionable code. I have used i2/JDA (optimization through simulation) software like Transportation Modeler, Strategist, Transportation Manager, SARE along with Access and VBA extensively at both Ryder and Newbreed. At GM i was involved with VBA reporting & optimization projects but did partake in a lot of meetings with leadership and subject matter experts over the features to be incorporated in our analysis and tools. This included gathering data from GM analysts around the world, cleansing the data and removing any anomalies or outliers before applying linear regression techniques.
I obtained my Data Science Certification from INSOFE (Accredited to the Carnegie Melon University and ranked as No. 3 by CIO.com in Data Science education) in 2017. As part of my certification, I worked on 2 Capstone Projects based on real world data. In 2019, I graduated with an MS – Data Science degree from The University of British Columbia. As part of the course work, we were required to work on at least one real-world capstone project that included most of the techniques like Regression, Decision Trees, Random Forests, Neural Nets, SVM, knn, Ensambles etc. I am also a Kaggle & HackerEarth enthusiast with 3 full scale projects under my belt applying Machine Learning algorithms and data cleaning using R & SQL. As of today, I have worked on 6 full scale Machine Learning projects with real world data, all of which include data wrangling, Machine Learning algorithm application, interpreting/analyzing results followed by presenting the same. The biggest dataset handled so far amounted to 15 million records. All my Data Science/Machine Learning projects were conducted on real world data derived from the Marketing/Advertising, Automotive, Banking/Finance, Supply Chain and Health Care industries all over the world including Canada.
Through both education and work experience i have familiarized myself with the concepts of Regression and Machine Learning and have used R, Access, SQL, Tableau & VBA to clean, analyze, manipulate, visualize and summarize large data sets involving up to 16 million records in a single project. Almost all my projects, particularly at Newbreed/XPO, have been high priority and/or time sensitive while competing for the client’s business at the same time.
