Project details
I'm a data analytics and visualization consultant with over 10 years of experience. I'm a certified Tableau Desktop Specialist and Tableau Ambassador whose work has been selected as Viz of the Day several times. I remain up-to-date on all the latest software updates, techniques, and new features including Ask Data (AI). My dashboard design skills are top notch and I take pride in my work being accurate, aesthetic, and insightful. I'm skilled at data modeling, which puts your data in a format that helps your workbooks load fast, and statistical analysis. My visualizations have been published in academic journals, so I am familiar with the guidelines for research graphics. I've worked with three colleges of pharmacy and several large health systems, so working with complex data is routine for me.

I sit comfortably between technical and business audiences — building the dashboard, defining the metric, and running the stakeholder workshop where everyone finally agrees on what “active user” actually means.
What I bring to your project:
• Dashboards & data viz — Tableau Desktop, Tableau Prep, Tableau Server, Tableau Cloud; increasingly d3.js and JavaScript/Deno for open-source, web-native deliverables
• Data engineering & SQL — Snowflake, Redshift, Athena, AWS Glue DataBrew, Alteryx
• Data governance — implementing data catalog software, building data dictionaries and metric definitions, aligning business stakeholders on shared terminology, and delivering training
• Analytics consulting — translating ambiguous business questions into reproducible analyses
• Python and R — for analysis, modeling, and reporting; plus HTML/CSS and design tools (Figma, Illustrator, Procreate) when polish matters.
Common engagements:
• Building or rescuing Tableau dashboards that stakeholders actually use
• Standing up a data dictionary, metric catalog, or governance practice from scratch
• Tableau training for analysts and business users
• Custom analyses and one-off visualizations for reports, papers, and decks
• Code-based visualization work in JavaScript and d3.js for clients who want to move beyond BI tools
If you need clear dashboards, trustworthy metrics, or someone who can translate fluently between your technical and business teams, let’s chat about your project.
Steps for completing your project
After purchasing the project, send requirements so Nicole can start the project.
Delivery time starts when Nicole receives requirements from you.
Nicole works on your project following the steps below.
Revisions may occur after the delivery date.
Review requirements and sample data to ensure understanding.
The first thing I do is make sure there aren't any problems with the data, such as too much missing data to create a chart or ambiguous data. I review your requirements to make certain I understand what you need. I may ask questions for clarity.
Sketch a wireframe (low-fidelity design) in Figma or Adobe Illustrator.
If you'd like to approve the wireframe before I start building the dashboard, that is possible as long as you can review it in time for me to meet the deadline we've agreed upon.
