Most small business websites are a brochure. Nice photos, a contact form that emails you, and no connection to how the business actually runs. The owner still takes bookings by phone, still chases payment by invoice, and still copies customer details into a spreadsheet.
I build sites that carry some of that load. Built with Next.js, so pages render fast and score well on Core Web Vitals rather than taking four seconds to show a hero image. Mobile-first, since most of your visitors arrive on a phone. Structured for search from the start rather than bolted on afterwards. And with a CMS, so you can change your own prices and copy without paying anyone.
The part most website builders cannot do: wiring it to something real. Bookings that write to a calendar, payments that settle correctly, enquiries that land in your customer records instead of a shared inbox. That is my day job, so it is not an add-on I outsource.

Payments are where small bugs get expensive. A duplicated webhook. A race condition on a balance. A field rename that silently changes the meaning of a transaction.
I've spent 7+ years building systems designed to prevent those problems: idempotent payment flows, immutable audit trails, and state machines that keep transactions consistent under load.
