Hello there! My name is Mohamed Shehata and I am a Mid/Senior Full Stack Engineer specializing in PHP development. I am from Cairo, Egypt and I have over 5 years of experience in web development, both backend and frontend. I am always interested in learning new technologies and tools to help me devise better problem-solving methods for challenging tasks. I have experience working with programming languages such as PHP, Nodejs, Python, and Javascript, as well as frontend frameworks like AngularX and Typescript. For backend development, I am skilled in working with RESTful APIs, Symfony, Laravel, Expressjs, Websockets, NGINX, and databases such as MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and MySQL. Some of the technologies I work with include PHP8, Symfony, MongoDB, AngularJs, CoffeeScript, Elasticsearch, Ejabberd, Kibana, Docker, Vagrant, and Kubernetes. I have also upgraded Symfony from version 2.2 to 3.4 and then 4.4, converted the system from Coffeescript to Typescript and Angular, created a new reporting system, patched security issues, and improved the performance and efficiency of the system by fixing MongoDB queries and indexes.

In the past, I have worked as a Full Stack Developer for companies such as Spreskill, a German company that has a mobile app to verbally learn German, and Black Eagle Marketing, a software-as-a-service company that builds software for other partners. Additionally, I have worked on various projects as a freelancer, including building a management dashboard for a university management system using Laravel/Bootstrap and a recycling system using Laravel and React Native for a community to handle the full recycling process in a single system.

I have also had the opportunity to work with clients from universities, governmental and federal organizations worldwide.
