You can choose any ROS 1 and ROS 2 Versions depending on your needs.
I know the best practices to convert your existing codebase to ROS 2 even if it has custom messages, services, Rviz plugins and any other dependencies etc. I also rewrite launch files and ReadMe with complete instructions from setting up the environment to making sure you can run your new code
I can convert both C++ and Python packages. I also take care of code formatting, and linting and follow Google's coding style or any style of your preference.
